Friday 11th April 2008

Today I helped out by making my brother afternoon tea. He was really hungry and my mum was out at the time so I cut up some apples for him and he sat down quietly and ate his apples. I know I made a difference because my brother said thank yuo so much and gave me a hug. I felf happy that I could help out around the house without being asked or getting anything in return.

My Blog Reflection

Thursday 10th April 2008

Today at lunchtime when I was walking around with my friend Eden there was this big sandwich bag flying through the air, so I picked it up and put it into the rubbish bin. I know I made a difference because if I didn't pick up the plastic bag then it would have floated all around the school and I have seen that not many people pick up rubbish that is lying on the ground. I felt glad that I could help the enviroment be a fresh, clean place where people like to be.

Wednesday 9th April 2008

Today I helped out by tidying the Food and Fabric room. Even though it was my day the room would not have been clean without my buddy Bridget and I cleaning the room. I know I made a difference because when the next lesson was about to start the room was nice and tidy. I felt glad that I could help out. But yet again that is why they have jobs around the school.

Today I made a difference by cleaning the kitchen, unloading the dishwasher, sweeping and moping the floors. I know I made a difference because my mum gave me a big hug and thanked me after. I felt happy that I could help my fabulous mum out.

Today I leant a hand by helping the teacher out. We did the beep test today and the teacher was recording out levels. She was also trying to watch everyone run so I offered to record the levels for her. I know I made a difference because she said thank you to me. I felt glad that I could was able to do a job for the teacher.

Saturday 5th April 2008

Today I helped out by cleaning the kitchen. My mum, brother, sister and I were all very tired and I sprained my ankle, but I still managed to help out. I offered to help out because my mum is always running me around everyday with my running training so I thought the least I could do was to help her out by cleaning a few parts of the house e.g. bathroom, kitchen, bedroom.

It wasn't a very nice job because no one likes cleaning but as long as I could lend a hand I am happy.

Today I helped out by handing out the Numeracy Tests. Even though it is my job I still remembered to collect all of the tests and hand them out. I know I made a difference because if no one handed out the tests then there would be no test. I felt happy but a little annoyed because when Cheyenne and I were calling out the tests everyone was talking and mucking around. In the end Cheyenne and I finally got there attention and handed out the tests.

Thursday 3rd April 2008

As soon as the bell went everyone rushed inside. While we were in the middle of calling the roll, I noticed a car with it's head lights still on. When I told the teacher she said to go and get it's number plate. So I ran outside into the rain and wrote down the number plate. As soon as I had got the number plate I rushed to the office as fast as I could to deliver the number plate but I was not the only one trying to get the number plate. Someone from room 11 had noticed the car too. As soon as I saw him running I ran too. I got to the office in time and the announced it on the loud speaker. I felt tired after all of that running but I also felt glad because after it was announced one of the teachers ran to the car and turned them off.
